Philippines GDP Due On Monday

The Philippines will on Monday release gross domestic product figures for the fourth quarter of 2011, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.

GDP is expected to add 0.1 percent on quarter and 3.8 percent on year after collecting 0.3 percent on quarter and 3.2 percent on year in the previous three months.

South Korea will post current account figures for December, with forecasts suggesting a surplus of $4.0 billion, down from $5.046 billion in November.

Taiwan will provide the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for December, with analysts expecting the rate to inch up to 4.33 percent from 4.32 percent in November.
