Visa Inc. (V) reported first quarter net income of $1.49 per share after the bell Wednesday, up from $1.23 per share in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $1.45.
Visa has gapped open sharply higher Thursday and is now up 5.99 at $114.34. The stock has been rising for the past week and a half and has set a new high for the year.
