Obama Adviser Axelrod Takes Aim At Santorum

David Axelrod took aim at Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum during an appearance on CBS This Morning on Wednesday.

The Obama political strategist called the former Pennsylvania Senator out on his economic policies, saying, "I think when people really examine his economic policies, I don't think the average working person in this economy is going to look at his economic policies and say 'yeah, that's the ticket for me. That offers great hope for me.'"

Axelrod also raised concerns about Santorum's views on social issues, claiming that many of his policies are "quite divisive."

He concluded by saying, "People don't really know Senator Santorum particularly well, and when they do, we'll get a better sense of where he stands."

Santorum is currently polling near former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney after winning a number of primary victories last week.
