New Century Bancorp Inc. (NCBC) reported fourth-quarter net income of $599,000 or $0.09 per share, compared to net income of $125,000 or $0.02 per share in the year ago quarter.
Net interest income for the quarter declined to $5.18 million from $5.97 million in the prior year quarter. Non-interest income was $0.6 million, down from $0.7 million in year ago quarter.
