Wireless technology company Interdigital, Inc. (IDCC) said Monday that its patent holding subsidiaries have entered into amendments to their worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty bearing patent license agreements with Acer, Inc. and Pantech Co. Ltd.
The amended agreements now include patent coverage for products not previously covered under the license, including tablets. The original license agreements signed with Pantech in 2009 and with Acer in 2011 covered 2G, 3G and 4G technologies.
