Altera Corp. (ALTR) reported first quarter net income of $0.35 per share after the close Thursday, down from $0.68 per share in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.36.
Altera declined during the first half hour of trade Friday and fell further going into the close. The stock closed lower by 3.25 at $35.25 on the highest volume of the year. Altera dropped below a 2-week range and set a 4-month low.
