Canadian IT and business processing services provider CGI Group Inc. (GIB, GIB_A.TO) reported that its second-quarter net earnings declined to C$105.7 million or C$0.40 per share, from C$118.7 million or C$0.43 per share in the same quarter last year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of C$0.41 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues for the quarter declined to C$1.07 billion from C$1.11 billion in the prior year quarter. Eleven analysts had consensus revenue estimate of C$1.07 billion for the quarter.
