Range Resources Corp. (RRC) reported a net loss for the first quarter of $42 million or $0.26 per share, compared to a net loss of $25 million or $0.16 per share for the year-ago quarter.
Excluding items, adjusted net income for the first quarter was $24 million or $0.15 per share, compared to $35 million or $0.22 per share in the prior year quarter.
Revenues for the first quarter rose 16% to $246.89 million from $212.56 million a year earlier.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.13 per share on revenue of $309.67 million for the first quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
