Cirrus Logic Inc. (CRUS) reported fourth quarter adjusted EPS of $0.36 after the bell Wednesday, up from $0.22 in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.34.
Cirrus Logic gapped up sharply Thursday and climbed during the first half hour of trade. The stock advanced further in the final 2 hours of the afternoon and closed up by 4.30 at $27.39 on the highest volume of the year. Cirrus Logic surged past resistance and set a new high for the year.
