Pre-market Movers For May 9 (AOL, SODA, DF, NKBP, GMCR, M)

Gainers:

AOL, Inc. (AOL) is up 1 percent to $25.80. The company's first quarter profit jumped from the previous year period. Although, total revenues for the quarter declined 4 percent, they were above Wall Street view.

SodaStream International Ltd. (SODA) is up 18 percent to $34.38. The company's first quarter earnings improved 84.3 percent from the year-ago quarter and its total revenues increased 50.2 percent.

Dean Foods Co. (DF) is rising 8 percent to $13.75. The company's first quarter profit increased from the year-ago quarter and was above Wall Street view. The company guided second quarter adjusted earnings per share above Wall Street view and also raised its full year 2012 earnings forecast.

Decliners:

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. (GMCR) is falling over 2 percent to $25.79. The company announced that Robert Stiller no longer serves as Chairman and William Davis no longer serves as Lead Director. The company said these changes are the result of the actions taken by board to address stock sales by Stiller's and Davis' brokerage firm found inconsistent with its internal trading policies.

Macy's, Inc. (M) is falling more than 4 percent to $37.80. The company's first quarter profit increased from the previous year. Net sales rose 4.3 percent, and were above the consensus estimate. The company also reiterated its earnings per share forecast for fiscal 2012.

Trading halt:

Trading in shares of China Nuokang Bio-Pharmaceutical Inc. (NKBP) was halted. The company has received a preliminary, non-binding proposal from its chairman and chief executive officer Baizhong Xue to acquire all of the outstanding ordinary shares at a proposed price of $5.80 per American depositary share.
