Harry Potter Series Added To Amazon's Kindle Owners' Lending Library

Amazon's Kindle Owners' Lending Library has more than 145,000 books, including over 100 current and former New York Times Best Sellers, that can be borrowed for free. Now, one more iconic book series has been added to that long list.

Starting June 19, Amazon Prime members can read all seven Harry Potter books (in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish) for free on their Kindle. The Harry Potter series, which is based purely on the fantasy world, is the all-time best-selling book series in history.

Amazon has purchased an exclusive license from J.K. Rowling's Pottermore to make the addition of these titles possible to the Kindle Owners' Lending Library.

Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon.com said, "Over a year, borrowing the Harry Potter books, plus a handful of additional titles, can alone be worth more than the $79 cost of Prime or a Kindle. The Kindle Owners' Lending Library also has an innovative feature that's of great benefit for popular titles like Harry Potter - unlimited supply of each title - you never get put on a waiting list."
