Greece's import price inflation slowed for the second consecutive month in March, data released by the Hellenic Statistical Authority showed Monday.
The import price index increased 6.6 percent on an annual basis in March, slower than the 7.8 percent growth seen in February. In January, the rate of growth was 8.7 percent.
Import prices in the Eurozone market gained 0.8 percent annually in March, while prices in the non-Eurozone market climbed 11.5 percent.
Import prices of intermediate goods advanced 0.8 percent year-on-year, while capital goods prices decreased 0.6 percent. There was a 21.2 percent annual growth in energy prices. Import prices of both durable consumer goods and non-durable consumer goods increased 0.8 percent each during the month.
On a monthly basis, import prices moved up 1.3 percent in March, following the previous month's 1 percent rise.
