Intel Corp. (INTC) announced the results from votes at the company's annual stockholders meeting.
The company said that stockholders approved certain proposals such as the re-election of Charlene Barshefsky, Andy Bryant, Susan Decker, John Donahoe, Reed Hundt, Paul Otellini, James Plummer, David Pottruck, Frank Yeary and David Yoffie to the board of directors.
Also approved at the meeting were the ratification of Ernst & Young LLP as independent registered public accounting firm for 2012 and the advisory vote to approve executive compensation.
Intel said that stockholders rejected a stockholder proposal that asked for an annual advisory vote on political contributions.
The meeting also marked the retirement of Jane Shaw as chairman of the board of directors. Shaw had served as chairman since 2009, the company noted.
Intel said that as previously announced, Bryant will now serve as chairman and Susan Decker has been appointed as lead director.
