Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd., formerly Jaiprakash Hydro-Power, reported fourth-quarter stand-alone net loss of Rs.6.78 crore or Re.0.02 per share, compared with a net profit of Rs.16.92 crore or Re.0.07 per share for the quarter ended March 31 last year.
Quarterly net income from operations rose more than two-fold to Rs.292.88 crore from the Rs.141.49 crore in Q4FY11. Income from sale of verified emission reduction (VERs) was Rs.0.89 crore, compared with Rs.6.55 crore in the year-ago quarter.
The company's fiscal year stand-alone net profit surged by 144 percent to Rs.402.95 crore from the Rs.165.11 crore in 2011. Total income, along with other operating income, stood at Rs.1,615.56 crore, up by 119 percent from the Rs.736.89 crore last year.
On a consolidated basis, its net profit grew by 148 percent to Rs.400.73 crore from the Rs.161.77 crore a year-ago. Total income, including other operating income, amounted to stood at Rs.1,615.56, crore, up by 119 percent from the Rs.736.89 crore last year.
At the BSE, Jaiprakash Power Ventures shares are being traded at Rs.35.50, down 2.87 percent from the previous close.
