Mylan Inc. (MYL) said Thursday its UK and Italy-based subsidiaries have launched Ibandronic Acid Film Coated Tablets POM, 150 mg. This product is the generic version of Roche's Bonviva Tablets, a treatment for osteoporosis.
Ibandronic Acid Film Coated Tablets POM had sales of about 8.5 million euros (7.5 million pounds Sterling) in the UK and sales of nearly 27 million euros in Italy for the 12 months ending March 2012, according to IMS Health.
