Following the release of Germany's flash consumer price figures for the month of May at 8.00 am ET, the euro held steady against its major counterparts. As of 8:02 am ET, the common currency was trading at 1.2525 against the US dollar, 0.7995 against the pound, 99.66 against the yen and 1.2017 against the Swiss franc.
