Encore Bancshares Inc. (EBTX) Thursday said the board of governors of the Federal Reserve System approved the application of Cadence Bancorp, LLC to acquire Encore through the merger of Encore with and into a wholly owned subsidiary of Cadence Bancorp, LLC.
