Romania's producer prices increased from last year in April, data released by the National Institute of Statistics showed Friday.
The producer price index increased 6.5 percent on an annual basis in April. Output prices in the mining and quarrying industry rose 3.9 percent annually, while manufacturing prices advanced 6.9 percent.
At the same time, costs of production and supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning gained 3.53 percent year-on-year during the month.
Month-on-month, output prices moved up 0.7 percent in April, slower than the 1 percent growth seen in the previous month, the agency said.
