Spanish Unemployment Falls For Second Month

Unemployment in Spain dropped for a second consecutive month in May, data from the Labor Ministry showed Monday.

The number of unemployed declined by 30,113 or 0.63 percent from a month earlier to 4.71 million in May. In April, there were 4.74 million unemployed, 0.14 percent less than in March.

Still, the number of Spaniards without a job in May was 12.52 percent higher than the same month last year.

Registered unemployment among those in the age group of below 25 years decreased by 10,429 or 2.08 percent month-on-month, the data showed.
