Asta Funding Inc. (ASFI) Monday said it agreed to repurchase 1.0 million shares from Peters MacGregor Capital Management Pty. Ltd for $9.40 million or $9.40 per share.
The company paid for the stock redemption using available cash on hand. Prior to the repurchase, Peters MacGregor owned 1.87 million shares of the company's common stock, or about 12.8 percent. After the repurchase, Peters MacGregor owns 876 thousand shares or about 6 percent.
