CSC Names David Zolet President North America Public Sector - Update

Information technology services provider Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC) Tuesday said it has appointed David Zolet as president North America Public Sector, or NPS, succeeding James Sheaffer who will be retiring later this month.

Zolet will oversee NPS operations and will report to CSC's newly appointed President and Chief Executive Officer Mike Lawrie. Zolet has served as president of CSC business development for NPS and has held leadership positions at IBM and Northrop Grumman.

Gary Budzinski has been appointed as president, global infrastructure services. He will report directly to Lawrie, with immediate effect. Budzinski joins CSC from HP where he was senior vice president and general manager for the company's $12 billion technology services business unit, CSC said.

CSC also named Sunita Holzer chief human resources officer, who will join the company on June 18, reporting directly to Lawrie. Holzer comes to CSC from Chubb Group for Insurance Companies where she was chief human resources officer.

"I look forward to working with these leaders as we move forward with our turnaround strategy to drive the performance our stakeholders expect of CSC," Lawrie stated.

As a key step to executing the company's turnaround strategy, it has recently made several appointments to its senior management team.

Last month, CSC announced the appointment of Paul Saleh as its vice president and chief financial officer, succeeding Michael Mancuso, who announced his retirement in February 2012. Saleh was chief financial officer serving media holding company Gannett Co., Inc. (GCI), the publisher of USA Today.

In mid March, CSC had appointed Rodney Chase as non-executive chairman, and named David Barram chairman of the audit committee.

CSC closed Monday's regular trading at $25.5 on the NYSE.
