The Japanese currency slipped further against major rivals in New York afternoon deals on Friday. The yen is presently trading near 82.83 against the Swiss franc, 122.91 versus the pound, 99.45 against the euro, 78.69 versus the Australian dollar, 61.20 against the NZ dollar and 77.24 versus the loonie, which maybe compared to yesterday's closing values of 83.31, 123.68, 100.04, 78.81, 61.12 and 77.49, respectively.
