Amylin Pharmaceuticals Inc. (AMLN) announced after the close Friday that it agreed to be acquired by Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMY) for $31.00 per share in cash.
Amylin Pharmaceuticals gapped open sharply higher Monday, but traded in a narrow range throughout the session. Shares finished up by 2.51 at $30.71 on the highest volume of the year and set a new high for the year.
