Estonia's retail sales increased from last year in June, data released by Statistics Estonia showed Monday.
Retail sales volume increased 7 percent on an annual basis in June. Sales of manufactured goods advanced 9 percent annually. Sales of pharmaceutical goods and cosmetics increased 17 percent, marking the biggest growth, which was influenced by the lower reference base of the previous year.
Retail sales of other specialized stores, such as stores selling computers and their accessories, photography supplies, books, sports equipment, games and toys, flowers and plants were higher by 9 percent compared to last year.
Sales of non-specialized stores selling predominantly industrial goods climbed 16 percent annually during the month.
On a monthly basis, seasonally adjusted retail sales advanced 3 percent in June, the agency said.
