Time Warner Cable (TWC) reported second quarter adjusted net income of $1.48 per share Thursday morning, up from $1.20 per share last year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $1.39.
Time Warner Cable gapped open lower Thursday, but climbed steadily during the first half of the morning. The stock closed up by 2.34 at $87.94, with volume at a 6-month high. Time Warner Cable rose above a 2 1/2 week range and set a new high for the year.
