The Commerce Department is scheduled to release its business inventories report for June at 10:00 am ET. The report is expected to show a 0.2 percent increase in business inventories for the month.
The US dollar held steady against its major rivals ahead of the report. As of 9:55 am ET, the greenback was trading at 1.5687 against the pound, 78.87 against the yen, 1.2343 against the euro and 0.9735 against the Swiss franc.
