The results of the Institute for Supply Management's manufacturing survey for August and Commerce Department's construction spending data for July have been released at 10:00 am ET.
The US dollar drifted lower against its major rivals after the data. As of 10:02 am ET, the greenback was trading at 0.9547 against the Swiss franc, 1.2586 against the euro, 1.5878 against the pound and 78.35 against the yen.
