In early Asian deals on Tuesday, the Australian dollar slipped against most major currencies ahead of the release of the Reserve Bank of Australia's minutes of its September 4 meeting at 9:30 pm ET.
The aussie hit a 4-day low of 82.11 against the yen, 5-day lows of 1.0447 against the greenback and 1.0187 against the loonie.
Against the euro, the aussie edged down to 1.2540 with 1.26 seen as the next downside target level.
