Eurozone flash inflation figures for December are due at 5.00 am ET Friday. Ahead of the data, the euro showed mixed trading against other major currencies. While the euro declined against the greenback, it recovered against the franc. Against the yen, the euro eased. On the other hand, the euro held steady against the pound.
At 4:55 am ET, the euro was worth 1.3005 against the greenback, 114.66 against the yen, 0.8112 against the pound and 1.2096 against the franc.
