In European morning deals on Tuesday, the British pound weakened against its major opponents.
The pound is now trading at 1.5824 against the greenback, down from an early high of 1.5866.
Against the franc and the euro, the pound is trading at an 8-day low of 1.4737 and near an 11-month low of 0.8442, respectively.
The pound declined to a 6-day low of 140.76 against the yen, off its Asian session's high of 142.87.
