Switzerland's ZEW economic sentiment index for January is due at 5:00 am ET Wednesday. Ahead of the data, the franc showed mixed trading against other major currencies. While the franc gained against the yen and the dollar, it held steady against the euro. Against the pound, the franc fell.
At 4:55 am ET, the franc was worth 0.9287 against the greenback, 1.4744 against the pound, 95.26 against the yen and 1.2384 against the euro.
