Iceland Producer Price Inflation Slows In December

Iceland's producer price inflation slowed in December after accelerating in the previous month, data released by Statistics Iceland showed on Wednesday.

The producer price index (PPI) rose 1.2 percent year-on-year, slower than the 2.5 percent increase observed in November. In October, prices rose by 1 percent.

Producer prices for domestic market and export market increased 1.1 percent each. During the same period, the PPI for food products rose by 2.9 percent.

Sequentially, the PPI declined 1.1 percent in December, reversing the 0.4 percent gain seen in November. That was the first decline in four months.
