MeadWestvaco Corp. (MWV) gapped open higher Friday and spiked to the upside in early trade. The stock settled into a range for the remainder of the session and closed up by 3.97 at $35.65 on the highest volume of the year.
MeadWestvaco surged past resistance Friday and set a new high for the year.
