La-Z-Boy Inc. (LZB) reported third quarter net income of $0.32 per share after the bell Tuesday, compared to $0.28 per share last year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.23.
La-Z-Boy gapped up sharply Wednesday, but traded in a range for the majority of the session. The stock closed higher by 1.77 at $17.23, with volume at an 8-month high. La-Z-Boy rose past resistance and set a new high for the year.
