Producer price inflation in Latvia eased to 2.1 percent in January from 3.6 percent in December, a report from the Central Statistical Bureau showed Thursday.
Year-on-year, prices of goods sold on the domestic market grew 1.9 percent, whereas prices of exported products rose 2.3 percent.
In the manufacturing sector, PPI increased 2.2 percent compared to January 2012. Mining and quarrying recorded a 5.8 percent increase in prices, while utilities saw a 1.7 percent rise.
On a monthly basis, the overall producer price index rose 0.3 percent following a 0.2 percent increase in December.
