Air France-KLM Q4 Loss Reduces - Quick Facts

Franco-Dutch airline Air France-KLM (AFRAF.PK) posted a narrower fourth-quarter net loss, group share of 235 million euros, or 0.79 euros per share, versus a 259 million euros, or 0.88 euros per share loss in the 2011 period.

Excluding restructuring charges, net loss per share amounted to 0.52 euros for the reporting quarter.

Quarterly revenues totaled 6.3 billion euros, a 4.6% increase from 6.03 billion euros in the prior-year period. Operating loss reduced to 143 million euros for the quarter, from 202 million euros loss a year ago.

For the 2012 fourth quarter, passenger traffic was stable for capacity down by 0.2% and a load factor of 81.9%.

In addition, the Group said it would maintain strict control over capacity and investments. At the same time, the 'Transform 2015' plan would be fully rolled out. In these conditions, the group aims to reduce both unit cost at constant currency and fuel price and net debt.
