DigitalGlobe, Inc. (DGI) Tuesday reported a profit for the fourth quarter of $17.1 million or $0.36 per share, compared to a loss of $27.0 million or $0.58 per share in the same period last year.
The latest quarter results were helped by the absence of debt extinguishment charges and higher revenues from the year-ago period.
On average, 10 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.27 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Meanwhile, revenues totaled $125.4 million, up 28 percent from $97.7 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $111.81 million.
Looking forward to 2013, the company expects revenue tom range between $635 million and $660 million. The Street expects the company to record revenues of $449.74 million for 2013.
