American States Water Co. (AWR) Thursday reported an increase in profit for the fourth quarter, helped mainly by higher revenues.
Net income for the quarter increased to $10.29 million or $0.54 per share from $6.71 million or $0.36 per share last year.
On average, five analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.36 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues totaled $111.54 million, up from $95.25 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $102.27 million.
