Afren plc (AFR.L, AFRNF.PK) reported that its fiscal 2012 profit from continuing operations before tax increased to $594 million from $221 million last year. Profit for the year was $203.4 million, or 17.9 cents, compared to $121.7 million or 11.5 cents prior year. Normalised profit after tax was $244 million, compared to $125 million prior year.
Revenue increased to $1.50 billion from $597 million prior year. The company said the increase arises from a full year of production from the Ebok field, which contributed $1.15 billion compared to $272 million prior year.
