Poland's official reserve assets increased significantly and hit a record high in March, data released by the Central Bank showed Friday.
Total reserve assets increased sharply to EUR84.93 billion in March from EUR81.61 billion at the end of February. In March 2012, the value of reserves was EUR74.74 billion.
Among components, foreign exchange reserves advanced to EUR74.81 billion in March from EUR72.52 billion in the previous month. The value of special drawing rights was EUR1.23 billion, up from the previous month's EUR1.21 billion.
The value of gold reserves advanced to EUR4.13 billion in March from EUR4.01 billion in the previous month. Meanwhile, the country's reserve position in the IMF dropped modestly to EUR1.02 billion from EUR1.03 billion, data showed.
