European Economics Preview: BoE Minutes Due

The minutes of the Bank of England's monetary policy meeting and the U.K. unemployment figures are due on Wednesday.

At 2.00 am ET, the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association is slated to release new car registration figures for March. Registrations were down 10.5 percent in February.

At 3.30 am ET, the Sweden's central bank is scheduled to announce its interest rate decision. Riksbank is widely expected to leave its key rate unchanged at 1 percent.

The minutes of the Bank of England's monetary policy meeting held on April 3 and 4 are due at 4.30 am ET. The bank had kept its quantitative easing unchanged at GBP 375 billion and the key rates at 0.50 percent.

In the meantime, the U.K. labor market statistics is due. The number of people claiming jobseekers' allowances is forecast to remain flat in March compared to a fall of 1,500 in February. The three-month to February ILO jobless rate is seen at 7.8 percent.

At 8.00 am ET, Poland's average gross wages are due. Economists forecast gross wages to rise 2.5 percent year-on-year in March, following a 4 percent rise in February.
