Dutch consumer spending declined 2.2 percent in February from the prior year, following a 2.3 percent drop in January, Statistics Netherlands said Tuesday.
Consumption of durable goods plunged 6.1 percent and spending on food, beverages and tobacco dropped moderately by 0.3 percent.
Expenditure on other goods, including energy and fuel, declined 5.8 percent. At the same time, spending on services fell 0.6 percent.
