Japan's Corporate Service Prices Fall In March

An index measuring corporate service prices in Japan slipped 0.2 percent in March from the prior year, the Bank of Japan said Wednesday. It was forecast to ease 0.3 percent.

The annual decrease follows a nil growth in February and a 0.2 percent fall in January.

On a monthly basis, the corporate service price index gained 0.7 percent, which was faster than the 0.3 percent rise seen during February.

Cost of advertising services and transportation increased from a year ago, while prices of information and communications and real estate services declined in March, data showed.
