Range Resources Corporation (RRC) Thursday reported first-quarter net loss of 75.6 million or $0.47 per share, compared to $41.8 million or $0.26 per share last year.
Adjusted earnings for the quarter rose to $0.33 per share from $0.15 per share last year.
Total revenues and other income for the quarter grew 27 percent to $319.2 million from $251.0 million last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit of $0.15 per share on revenue of $387.11 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
