Norway's retail sales volume, excluding trade in motor vehicles, increased 0.2 percent month-on-month in March, the latest figures from Statistics Norway showed Tuesday.
Excluding sales of motor vehicles and fuel, overall sales volume remained unchanged from February. Year-on-year, the unadjusted sales, excluding motor vehicles, declined 3.5 percent.
Separately, the statistical office reported that Norway's unemployment rate was 3.5 percent in three months to March. This was unchanged from the rate recorded in the three months through December.
While the number of unemployed persons also remained unchanged, at 95,000 during the period, employment rose by 7,000 workers from the December quarter.
