Latvia's retail sales increased sequentially in March, after falling in the previous month, Central Statistical Bureau said Tuesday.
Retail sales turnover increased a seasonally adjusted 2.1 percent month-on-month in March, reversing February's 0.9 percent decline.
Sales of food products increased by 2.4 percent, while sales of non-food products advanced 1.9 percent. Retail sales of automotive fuel were higher by 7.8 percent than in February.
Compared to March 2012, trade in the retail sector climbed a calendar adjusted 8.8 percent during the month. In the January-March period, sales rose 7.2 percent annually.
