World Fuel Services Corp. (INT), Tuesday reported first-quarter net income of $48.7 million or $0.68 per share, up from $46.4 million or $0.65 per share last year.
Adjusted earnings rose to $55.0 million or $0.77 per share from $52.9 million or $0.74 per share last year.
Revenues for the quarter grew to $10.18 billion from $9.48 billion last year.
On average, six analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.64 per share on revenues of $10.34 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
