EOG Resources Inc. (EOG) Monday reported first-quarter net income of $494.7 million or $1.82 per share, compared to $324.0 million or $1.20 per share last year.
Adjusted net income for the first quarter was $489.9 million or $1.80 per share, compared to $317.5 million or $1.17 per share in the year-ago period.
Net operating revenues for the quarter were $3.36 billion compared to $2.81 billion in the comparable quarter last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $1.17 per share on revenues of $3.04 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
