Switzerland's jobless rate remained stable at seasonally adjusted 3.1 percent in April, the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs said Tuesday. The rate came in line with economists' expectation.
At the same time, the unadjusted jobless rate fell to 3.1 percent from 3.2 percent in the prior month.
The number of registered unemployed decreased by 3,142 from the prior month to 135,851 at the end of April. Compared with the same period of last year, unemployment increased by 10.3 percent.
Youth unemployment fell by 990 month-on-month to 17,812 in April, it said.
