Cyprus Retail Sales Fall In February

Retail sales in Cyprus decreased 9 percent month-on-month in February, preliminary data from the Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus showed Thursday.

This followed a 27.3 percent decrease in sales volume in January. Final data for January showed that sales were down 5.8 percent compared to last year.

For January-February period, retail sales decreased 8.5 percent compared to the same period last year.

In terms of value, retail sales fell 7.5 percent month-on-month in February following 27 percent slump in January.
